The End Of 2018 And Looking Forward To 2019

And so comes to close another year.

It's been a fairly mundane one, for the most part, we've seen the playerbase reach a fairly stable count on 1.7.10 and although the pack is still trending on Technic, as of earlier this year there have been no plans for a major content update for it.
As a result we had started to look into expanding our servers into other packs, but due to a myriad of things on my end such as hunting for a new better job and working out the logistics of getting to spend time with my partner who currently lives in Italy, we've had little luck in making the kind of headway we wanted to. So for that, I apologize.

That said, we've various plans that you should start to see the results of soon as we move into 2019, first and foremost, a lot of people have over the past couple of years complained about the open nature of reporting bugs and the like via the forums and I suspect more than a few of you have felt unable to report players or staff when needed due to the fact that all can see it. To remedy this, all support cases be they reports, appeals, or requests for information will be handled via a new ticket system, named after everybody's favourite verbal punching bag, Brixazure. This feature will be going live in early January and will provide a much more robust and private solution for all your support needs.

In addition, we will be launching a new home page with news pertaining to all servers (more on that later), as well as the network as a whole. It will also serve as a hub for all the links you will ever need, including these very forums, the support ticket system, our store, and information on the various servers.

Lastly, and I'm sure this is the only part most of you really care about, we will be making a concentrated effort to start up and maintain more servers long term, we will be starting with Pixelmon, this is due to the fact that our own Clienthax was a mainstay dev on the original project and has written a great deal of side mods for it, which means we will be able to deliver a stable and interesting experience, while I cannot share too much currently we will be working to allow for both casual and competitive style battling, as well as weekly tournaments and other fun activities.

Moving past Pixelmon we will look for other modpacks and potentially other games to host alongside our existing servers. Of course, this will mean the size of the community will likely grow and with that our staff team will need to grow too. Closer to the time when we are looking into other things to host we will open an area for you all to make suggestions for myself and the staff team to go over.

With all that said, I hope there is at least something in this wall of text that you are excited about, and from the entire team here at Haxys Hideout we hope you've had a good Christmas and have a happy new year!

See you all next year if I don't talk to any of you beforehand.
